There are two parts. The first, by necessity is a manual test. The mapping of the electronics channel, specified by cable and channel number, its geometric space is a hand operation. One should compare this numbering with that in the GEM document.
The second part can be automated. It checks for consistency in the electronics to geometric and geometric to electronics maps.
