Agenda for ESnet Network Monitoring Task Force Meeting San Diego 21 April, 1997 ------------------------------------------------------ There will be an ESnet Network Monitoring Task Force (NMTF) meeting at San Diego on the afternoon of Monday April 21 at the Marina Village Conference Center, Mission Bay, San Diego. The focus group has made good progress since the last meeting (at PPPL). In particular several papers have been submitted for publication, (see http://www.slac.stanford.edu/xorg/nmtf/nmtf.html for a list) progress has been made on visualizing the long term trends in the data, the monitoring software has been successfully ported to a site (University of Maryland), there has been considerable interest expressed in the work and results by the FNC, CCIRN, ICFA and the ESSC. In the latter 2 cases we are working to provide information to help in understanding the problems with Internet performance and as a basis for deciding how to address. See http://www.slac.stanford.edu/xorg/nmtf/nmtf.html for more information. The meeting will begin at 3:30pm (the late start has been coordinated with the Email Task force which will run from 1:00 thru 3:00pm thus allowing people to attend both Task Forces meetings) and run until about 5:30pm.
